LG Electronics, based on glass material technology, is committed to creating new value and providing diverse experiences to our customers. Glass powder, a fine particle obtained by crushing glass, is a material that boasts not only chemical, thermal, and color stability but also excellent durability. Since initiating research on glass powder in 1996, LG Electronics has continuously expanded its expertise in this field. To date, we have filed as many as 219 patents related to glass powder, and have established an annual production facility capable of producing 4,500 tons at the Changwon Smart Park in Gyeongnam. LG Electronics, leveraging this technological prowess, has developed various functional glass powders, including materials for the Easy-clean cleaning function and antibacterial materials. These have been applied to LG Electronics' home appliances, contributing to the improvement of the quality of life for our customers. Furthermore, we have now begun the external sales business for these materials, broadening the dissemination of our technological capabilities.
